Hi! My name is Amanda Ginn. I live in Bay St. Louis, MS. I am a Junior here at the University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park. I transferred from Pearl River Community College with an Associates of the Arts degree. I have a big family which consists of my parents, Rose Marie and Donald, two sisters, Courtenay and Jennifer, my brother-in-law, Brandon, and my Maw-maw, Marie. In my spare time, I love to hang out with my family and friends, watch movies, and dance. At USM Gulf Park, I am studying Elementary Education. I plan on graduating from here with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and then go back to receive my Master's degree. I wish to one day teach either Kindergarten or First grade. I love the younger age group kids because they are eager to learn and fun to be around. At Pearl River Community College, I took a computer class that was required to graduate. I learned new things in there, but I am still not the best with computers. I pretty much know the basics of working a computer. I feel that technology in the classroom is a great thing. With technology in the classroom, the students are able to learn more hands-on and teachers are able to monitor how the children are doing with the assignment. Other technology pieces in the classroom are useful, as well, because it lets the children see different things then just the things inside the textbooks.
